Jet Ski accident on Dale Hollow

On Monday, August 24
around 3 p.m. two juveniles on
jet skis collided head-on at
Lanier Creek on Dale Hollow
Lake.
According to the report, a
10-year-old girl and 12-yearold
boy, both vacationers,
were brought to Eagle's Cove
where the boy was flown to
the University of Tennessee
Medical Center for his severe
injuries.
According to Tennessee
Wildlife Resources Agency Officer
Craig Norris, you must
be 12 years old to operate any
personal watercraft.
Also, anyone born after
January 1, 1989 must complete
a boater safety course
before operating any vessel.
The safety course manual and
all the information which will
allow you to become certified
is available at the Pickett
County Library.

the accident.
