Sierra Hull Bluegrass Festival held

Sierra Hull Bluegrass Festival heldThe 8th Annual Sierra Hull Bluegrass Festival was held Saturday, September 11th at the Pickett County Athletic Field. Performing artists were Sierra Hull and Highway 111, The Bilbreys, Hub City, Marty & Charmaine Lanham and the Dixie Cafe Band and Cody Hull.
Sierra Hull, a Pickett County native, is recognized every year with a festival in her honor, for her award nominating talent.
This year, Sierra and Highway 111 have been nominated for "Emerging Artist of the Year" and "Mandolin Player of the Year" at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IMBA) Awards.
She will be performing in Nashville on September 29th at Ernest Tubb Record Shop and on September 30th at the IBMA Awards Show with Dierks Bently at the Ryman Auditorium.
Sierra is attending Berklee College of Music in Boston and will continue her scheduled touring until Aug. 14, 2011 where the tour ends at the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old Time Music Festival.
