Three charged with manufacturing meth

Three charged with manufacturing methOn Monday, October 25th around 6 p.m. the Pickett County Sheriff's office received a call on a possible medical assist in Keisling's Bottoms on the Corps of Engineers property. When Deputy Steve Wilber arrived, he noticed items that appeared to be a meth lab and immediately contacted Sheriff Dana E. Dowdy for more assistance. Sheriff Dowdy, Deputy Malcolm Johnson, and Deputy Jerry Governale and certified CLAN Officer Elbert "Chico" Conner arrived on the scene and identified the items as a meth lab.
Roger J. Pleger, 31, of Georgia was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Disorderly Conduct, Identity Theft and Criminal Impersonation. Charlene Upchurch, 21, 365 Fire Department Rd., Allons, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance and Gregory A. Bowers, no age or address available, was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
