Martin appointed to Pickett Beer Board
he Pickett County Commissioners met in regular session on Nov. 15, 2010. Present and presiding was the Honorable Johnie Neal, Chairman and Robert Lee, Clerk of the Court. Court was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Clerk Lee who turned the meeting over to Chairman Neal. The invocation was given by Johnie Neal. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given by all. All commissioners were present except for Kenny Tompkins. The following preceding were had and entered on the court minutes as wit:
Passed a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Eddie Holt to approve the agenda as amended. All ayes. Motion carried.
Carried a motion by Lana Rossi and seconded by Tony Beaty to approve the minutes of the Sept. 20, 2010 county court meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
Approved a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded by Darrell Garrett to approve notaries: Leecia Walker, Sarah Storie, Michelle Mitchell and Jerry Johnson and Notary renewal: Catherine Smith. All ayes. Motion carried.
Passed a motion by Daniel Masiongale and seconded by Lowell Winningham to appoint Carter Martin to the Pickett County Beer Board for the term of two years to replace Marc Richardson who resigned. To be effective as of now for the remainder of the two year term which expires June 15, 2011. All ayes. Motion carried.
Carried a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded Colan Huddleston to approve FY 2010/2011 Budget Amendment #10, County General fund as submitted by Mr. Johnie Neal, County Executive. All ayes. Motion carried.
Approved a motion by Tony Beaty and seconded by Becky Matheny to approve FY 2010/2011 Budget Amendment, Highway Department Fund as submitted by Mr. Jimmy Cope, Road Superintendent. All ayes. Motion carried.
A. Discuss opting back in for Building Codes
B. Ambulance Remount bid
Carried a motion by Doug Manis and seconded by Becky Matheny to award the Pickett County Ambulance Service Remount Bid to Select-Tech, Inc. in the amount of $77,600.00. All ayes except for Eddie Holt d Daniel Masiongale who voted nay. Motion carried.
C. To check on trade-in
Passed a motion by Joe Harden and seconded by Becky Matheny to allow Pickett County Ambulance Service Director, Maxie Beaty to check with Select-Tech, Inc. on trade in on old for cab chassis. All ayes. Motion carried.
Approved a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Becky Matheny to adjourn until the next scheduled county court meeting on December 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the community room of the Pickett County Library without roll call.
