Kentucky man drowns during Thanksgiving Day on Dale Hollow Lake

Authorities have identified 61-year-old Vinson Neace of Alexandria, Ky. as the man who drowned last Thursday on Dale Hollow Lake.
Neace and his wife had gone fishing on the bank while pulled ashore on the West Fork of Ashburn Creek. Suddenly a gust of wind blew their boat away from the shore. In an attempt to reach the boat, Neace plunged into the water before going under only minutes later.
The incident took place at around 3:00 p.m. and the Pickett County Rescue Squad was the first to arrive at the scene. The body was recovered using infrared cameras by the Clay County search crews at around 5:45 p.m.
