New fire trucks for Moodyville and Chanute Fire Departments

New fire trucks for Moodyville and Chanute Fire DepartmentsThe Moodyville and Chanute Volunteer Fire Departments will each have a new addition sitting in their bays. Santa made an early stop a few days before Christmas and delivered two brand new 2011 Freightliner fire trucks to the Byrdstown/Pickett County Volunteer Fire Department in Byrdstown.
The trucks were bought and made possible with grant money provided by CDBG in the amount of approximately $350,000 while the remainder of the balance was provided by a local bank with the lowest interest rate.
