Cause of recent flooding at Byrdstown Post Office

Cause of recent flooding at Byrdstown Post OfficeDuring several of the past heavy rainfalls in Byrdstown, the parking lot of the post office and Highway 325, Main Street would flood. Tennessee Department of Transportation worked last week to find and repair the cause of the flooding. They dug out a section on the shoulder of road at the culvert and removed a section of pipe and found a residential trash can (pictured at right).
TDOT Regional Floating Crew helped assist with the repairs.
