Commissioners hold special called meeting

The Pickett County Commissioners met in a special called session on June 27, 2011. Present and presiding was the Honorable Johnie Neal, Chairman and Robert Lee, Clerk of the Court. Court was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Clerk Lee who turned the meeting over to Chairman Neal. The invocation was given by Johnie Neal. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given by all. All commissioners were present except Daniel Masiongale. The following proceedings were had and entered on the court minutes as wit:
•Carried a motion by Lana Rossi and seconded Becky Matheny to approve the agenda as amended. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Tony Beaty and seconded by Colan Huddleston to approve Resolution #10/11-16. This is a resolution for a three year Capital Outlay Note, Pickett County Ambulance Remount, Dry Creek Water Line Project and construction of the Borderlands Welcome Center totaling $179,700.00. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Approved a motion by Lana Rossi and seconded by Becky Matheny to approve Resolution #10/11-17. This is a resolution of the governing body of Pickett County, Tennessee authorizing the issuance, sale and payment of interest bearing tax anticipation notes not to exceed $500,000 this beginning July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded by Darrell Garrett to have County Executive Johnie Neal to check with truck dealers to compare used, refurbished and new glider for Pickett County Landfill roll off truck. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Becky Matheny to adjourn until July 5, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the community room of the Pickett County Library without roll call. This is a special called meeting to discuss Resolution establishing County Road Right of Way.
Thereupon court adjourned until July 5, 2011.
