Burglary investigation leads to discovery of meth lab

Burglary  investigation leads to  discovery  of meth labPickett County Sheriff's Department was investigating recent burglaries which occured in Byrdstown and Static and found meth labs at a residence.
Billy Joe Stinson, 31, 4376 Lillydale Road, Byrdstown was charged and arrested with burglary and aggravated burglary on June 27th.
Upon searching the residence, lead investigators Deputy Brandon Koger and Deputy Malcolm Johnson discovered at least two used meth labs on the property. Components to manufacture meth, along with drug paraphernalia and a plastic grocery bag full of marijuana were found inside the home.
An ongoing investigation for other burglaries is still being conducted and the sheriff's department will be getting indictments for the meth charges against Mr. Stinson in August.
