Two arrested in local burglary

Two arrested in local burglaryOn Friday, August 19th, at approximately 8 a.m., the Pickett County Sheriff's Office received a call on a suspicious vehicle on Mullins Road. The caller advised that two men in a green GMC pick-up had been driving around Mullins Road and stopping at people's homes. Upon arriving in the area, Deputy James Hammock was notified that a residence had been broken into and the vehicle was headed on North Lick Creek Road towards Hwy. 127.
Deputy Hammock called and requested assistance of Fentress County Sheriff's Department to help locate the vehicle. After hours of searching and more tips of the vehicle whereabouts, the suspects were apprehended at Regions Bank.
Joshua Carroll, 32, of 215 Gail Lane, Pall Mall is charged with theft over $1,000, aggravated burglary, possession of stolen property. Korey Hayes, 19, 848 Old Highway 127 South, Jamestown, was charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft over $1,000, possession of stolen property, possession of heroin, aggravated burglary.
This case is still being investigated and it is possible that the suspects are linked with multiple theft and burglaries in Pickett and Fentress County.
