Monroe woman cited for shoplifting

COOKEVILLE -- A woman
accused of shoplifting in the
Walmart store on South Jefferson
Avenue on Tuesday
was found to have 111 items
concealed in her purse and on
her person, police said.
Christine Troxell Reeder,
48, of Heard Ridge Road,
Monroe, was cited for shoplifting
in the case, says a report
by Cookeville Police Officer
Justin Long.
The officer said a Walmart
security worker alleges that
he observed Reeder taking the
items. He detained her and
called police.
"Ms. Reeder had jewelry,
clothing, toys, crafts and one
bag of zip-lock bags," the officer's
report says.
The clothing she had was
valued at $72, the jewelry at
$157, miscellaneous craft
items, $206, and the box of
zip-lock bags at $1, the report
says.
