Candidates announce for Pickett Register of Deeds

Frankie Beason announces that he will be a candidate for Register of Deeds at the Republican Caucus set for Aug. 19th, 6 p.m. at PCK-8 gym. This office is vacant due to unfortunate circumstances and the caucusing process is new to the Republican Party. I would like to invite everyone to come out and support me. Your vote will be truly appreciated. I would also like to say best of luck to Edith, Connie, Billy, Nick and Doug.

I, Billy Robbins, wish to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for the office of Register of Deeds for Pickett Co. in the Republican Caucus set for August 19th, 6 p.m. at the K-8 Gym. Those sad and special circumstances have caused a change in the normal course of Republican nominations for office. A caucus will be held instead of primary. The caucus requires the people of Pickett County to be present at the meeting to be able to cast their vote by ballot for the person of their choice. This is not only a new experience but it will be very important to be in attendance to express your choice. Due to the short time allotted, I will not be able to personally see each of the voters before the caucus. I do hope that every one will try and be present to cast their vote. I would greatly appreciate your consideration and vote to be your Republican candidate for Register of Deeds this Novem-ber. Keep in mind that to be able to vote your choice, attendance is required at the caucus. Thank you.
