The 26th Annual Byrdstown-Pickett County Dale Hollow Bass Classic was held October 1st and 2nd at Star Point Resort and Marina. There were 65 entries in this year’s event with prize money awarded totaling $9,250.00.

The winners were:
1st place- Mark Neal & Jeff Neal, 19.85 lbs., winning $1,757.50;
2nd place- Tony Poore & Willie Percy, 18.75 lbs., winning $1,387.50;
3rd place-Robby Johnson & Billie Joe Johnson, 17.80 lbs, winning $1,110.00;
4th place- Gary Farley & Randy Hunter, 16.85 lbs. winning $925.00;
5th place- Raymond Manis & James Cravens, 16.30 lbs. winning $832.50;
6th place- Calvin Short & Colby Short, 15.40 lbs. winning $740.00;
7th place- Anthony Bowman & Greg Whittaker, 14.75 lbs. winning $647.50;
8th place- James Harris & Chris Halfacre, 14.65 lbs. winning $555.00;
9th place- Brandon Wallen & Barry Gregory, 14.25 lbs. winning $462.50;
10th place- Frankie Smith & Mark Brown, 13.85 lbs. winning $370.00;
11th place- Randy Loftis & Matt Bilbrey, 12.05 lbs. winning $277.50;
12th place- Lynn A Davis & James R. Stevens, 11.95 lbs. winning $185.00.

Big Bass winners for Saturday were Brandon Wallen & Barry Gregory with 4.90 lbs., $500.00.
Sunday’s Big Bass winners were Calvin Short & Colby Short with 5.25 lbs. catch collecting $500.00.

On behalf of the Dale Hollow Bass Classic, the Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the staff of Star Point Marina, our host for the 26th annual Dale Hollow Bass Classic, along with our tournament officials, the Town of Byrdstown and the Pickett County Government and our sponsors this year Sportsman’s Lodge, Byrdstown Medical Center, B&K Bi-Rite, Sunset Marina, People’s Bank and Xpress Lube.
