World Champion Pig “Queen” crowned

World Champion Pig “Queen” crowned Submitted

The 12th annual World Pig Championship was held Saturday, February 25th at the Forbus General Store in Pall Mall. Over 60 players competed in the five hour event with the final games showing two players tied undefeated records of 8-0. Ronnie Crabtree, the first champion, and Bea Bolton went into the final round to determine who would be the champion or if a playoff would occur.
After the final bid of “28” by Glee Capps, Ronnie and his partner, Ernest Beaty, were defeated by Glee and Justin Beaty. Bea won her match and became only the second female (Sheryl Buck was the first) to take the title. For a complete list of the rules go to buckslodging.com. Hopefully we will see you next year on the last Saturday in February to show your skills. Congratulations to Bea!
