Town of Byrdstown holds special called meetings

CALLED MEETING AUGUST 28, 2008
The Town of Byrdstown Board of Mayor and Aldermen met in Special Called Session on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Town Hall. Those present were Mayor Billy Robbins, Recorder Johnny Sells, Alderwoman Opal Clayborn, Alderman Glenn Parris, and Alderman Rex Tompkins. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Budget and personnel.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
A motion was made by Glenn Parris to pass the 2008-2009 Budget on the first reading after a 13 day public review and also a certified Tax Rate of 47.75¢ per $100.00 of assessment value.  A second was voiced by Johnny Sells and, with all members voting aye, the motion carried.
There was a discussion of placement of personnel.
With this being the only topic to discuss, a motion was made by Glenn Parris to adjourn. A second was voiced by Rex Tompkins and, with all members voting Aye, the meeting adjourned at 3:25 p.m.

The Town of Byrdstown Board of Mayor and Aldermen met in Special Called Session on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Town Hall. Those present were Mayor Billy Robbins, Recorder Johnny Sells, Alderwoman Opal Clayborn, Alderman Glenn Parris, and Alderman Rex Tompkins. The purpose of the meeting was to pass the Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Budget on the second reading.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
A motion was made by Johnny Sells to pass the 2008-2009 Budget on the second reading. A second was voiced by Rex Tompkins and, with all members voting aye, the motion carried.
With this being the only topic to discuss, a motion was made by Rex Tompkins to adjourn. A second was voiced by Opal Clayborn and, with all members voting Aye, the meeting adjourned at 3:08 p.m.
