The open house will begin at 10:00 a.m. continuing through 4:00 p.m. that afternoon. Light refreshment and coffee will be available throughout the day. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon.
According to the Army Corps of Engineers, three million people will come to Dale Hollow Lake each season. The Welcome Center at 1005 Livingston Hwy. places the facility at an intersection on Hwy. 111 that on average sees 8,300 vehicles per day based on vehicles data and analysis collected by the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
After years of hard work and with the contributions of time and resources of many dedicated people, the welcome center is open and ready to service our many guest that pass through on their way to Dale Hollow Lake and into the Upper Cumberland region. The purpose and intent of the welcome center is to bring more revenue into the county by showing the tourists that Pickett County has more to offer than just the lake.
