Pickett County Commission March 19th meeting minutes

The Pickett County Commissioners met in regular session on March 19, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Present and presiding was the Honorable Johnie Neal, Chairman and Robert Lee, Clerk of the Court. All commissioners were present. The following proceedings were had and entered on the court minutes as wit:
Prior to approving agenda, Chairman Neal addressed the court.
•Chairman Neal informed the County Commissioners that we as County Commissioners will conduct these meetings according to the Roberts Rule of Order. This is standard procedure in conducting these County meetings. Chairman Neal requested that this statement be put in the minutes of the March 19, 2012 County Court Meeting.
•Approved a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Eddie Holt to approve the agenda as amended. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by Lowell Winningham and seconded by Darrell Garrett to approve the minutes from the February 20, 2012 County Court Meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Becky Matheny and seconded by Eddie Holt to approve Notary Renewal: Larissa Buck. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Approved a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded by Lana Rossi to approve February 2012 Monthly reports for County General Fund, Debt Service Fund, General Purpose School Fund, Cafeteria Fund and Solid Waste Fund as presented by Johnie Neal, County Executive. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by Lana Rossi and seconded by Eddie Holt to approve Budget Amendment #1, General Purpose School Fund, as presented by Diane Elder, Director of Pickett County Schools. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Tony Beaty and seconded by Darrell Garrett to allow Pickett County Executive, Johnie Neal to apply for a credit card or debit card whichever is feasible. This card is to be used for shipping charges for surplus to be purchased by Pickett County Sheriff Department with each department paying for their shipping charges. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Approved a motion by Doug Manis and seconded by Darrell Garrett to allow Pickett County Sheriffs Department to look for a dozer and tract loader from Government Surplus for the Pickett County Landfill, as long as shipping fees are within the Pickett County Landfill budget. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Lowell Winningham to adjourn until the next scheduled County Court Meeting on April 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the community room of the Pickett County Library without roll call.
