National Public Health Week has been observed by communities across our country and across Tennessee since 1955. During the week of April 2-8, 2012 the Tennessee Public Health Association encourages you to join us in celebrating this year's Public Health Week with the theme "A Healthier Tennessee Begins Today" by helping to raise awareness of prevention efforts and the importance of wellness in your community.

Focus areas for this year's celebration include prevention and wellness in the areas of healthy living and healthy eating. The importance of using preventive measures to live longer and healthier lives is vital to creating a healthier Tennessee.
