Kindergartener’s mom visits classroom by Skype on his first day

Kindergartener’s mom visits classroom by Skype on his first daySubmitted by:
Mrs. Helen Booher
Ryan King started kindergarten on Friday, Aug. 10th, 2012. He walked into Mrs. Booher's classroom just like any other kindergartener, a little nervous and excited.
Ryan came to school with his grandmother, Trudy Abbott and Uncle John Neal Abbott. "John was carrying an Iphone and I could hear the family talking, when I then heard coming from the phone, "Hi, Mrs. Booher."
“That's when I realized that Ryan's mother, Carrie Abbott King was using video chat to see and hear Ryan on his first day school,” said Mrs. Booher.
SSGT King is in the Air Force and stationed in Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa.
With the use of today’s technology Ryan, his mom and Mrs. Booher are able to communicate during his first big year of school.

Ryan shows the Iphone that he is using to Skype with his mom SSGT Carrie Abbott King on his first day of school.
