Pickett's second fatality of year

PickettAn accident on Monday, October 22nd around 12:30 p.m., has become the second fatality in Pickett County this year, the first one being in June.
According to the accident report, Regina Massengale of Albany, was traveling west on Cordell Hull Memorial Drive in a Pontiac Grand Am.
The vehicle dropped off the road while the driver was negotiating a curve, she overcorrected causing her to cross into the path of a Dodge Dakota. The truck was pulling a boat when the vehicles struck head-on.
The truck driver Ralph Lovelace and passenger Jenny Lovelace, both of Ohio, were transported to Livingston Regional Hospital where they had minor injuries. Massengale was transported to LRH where she later died due to the injuries sustained in the crash.
Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Neil Matthews and trooper Glenn Slaven investigated the accident.
