Commissioners October 15th meeting

The Pickett County Commissioners met in regular session on October 15, 2012. Present and presiding was the Honorable Lana Rossi, Chairman and Robert Lee, Clerk of the Court. All commissioners were present, except for Rebecca Matheny was absent.
The following is action taken at that meeting:
•Approved a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Lowell Winningham to approve the agenda as amended. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded by Kenny Tompkins to approve the minutes from the September 17, 2012 county court meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Daniel Masiongale and seconded by Colan Huddleston to approve Notary: Brandi Maynard and Notary Renewal: Lora Presley. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Approved a motion by Daniel Masiongale and seconded by Kenny Tompkins to approve Monthly Reports for September FY 12/13 for County General Fund, Debt Service Fund and Solid Waste Fund, as presented by Johnie Neal, County Executive. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by Daniel Masiongale and seconded by Doug Manis to approve County General Budget Amendment #2 FY12/13, as presented by Johnie Neal, County Executive. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Doug Manis and seconded by Eddie Holt to approve the County Executive's office to apply for additional grant money for the Litter Grant. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Approved a motion by Daniel Masiongale and seconded by Tony Beaty to approve Budget Amendment #1 General Purpose School Budget for FY12/13, as presented by Diane Elder, Director of Schools. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Other Business
A. Discuss findings on city dumping at landfill
•Carried a motion by Daniel Masiongale and seconded by Eddie Holt to allow City of Byrdstown to dump their water filter backwash sediment and pay only the state fees. All ayes. Motion carried.
B. Chris Thompson to address the court concerning Sierra Hull
C. Johnie Neal to address the court concerning county buildings
D. To discuss date of November meeting
E. E-911 Resolution 12/ 13-3
•Passed a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded by Kenny Tompkins to approve Resolution 12/13-3. This is a resolution to authorize travel regulations for the 911 emergency communications district. All ayes. Motion carried.
F. Tony Beaty to address the court regarding E-911 center.
•Approved a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Tony Beaty to adjourn until the next regular county court meeting on November 19, 2012 at 6 p.m. in the community room of the Pickett County Library without roll call.
