Anonymous tip leads Pickett County Sheriff’s Department to marijuana

On Wednesday, October 1st, the Pickett County Sheriff’s Department received an anonymous tip of possible illegal drug activity taking place.
Upon investigation the tip led to the confiscation of several marijuana plants. Sheriff Clois Brown stated that the marijuana was found in the Moodyville Community and had an estimated street value of $23,000. He also stated that, “This discovery was a result of our ongoing investigation efforts to crackdown on drug use and drug distribution.”
No arrests have been made at this time and the plants were immediately destroyed.
