Dale Hollow Bass Classic Tournament results

Anglers hailing from Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana competed for over $12,000 in the 23rd Annual Dale Hollow Bass Classic Fall Tournament at Star Point Resort on Dale Hollow Lake. The two-person buddy tournament yielded Smallmouth, Largemouth and Kentucky Bass. The Tournament features a BIG FISH prize for both Saturday and Sunday, sponsored by Sunset Marina & Resort, B&K Bi-Rite, Sportsman’s Lodge Motel and Star Point Resort. Donnie Thrasher & BJ McClellan split Big Fish Prize ($500); with Mike Miller and Brandon Wallen for their largemouth weighing in at 4.15lbs. Anglers Mike Miller and Brandon Wallen also won the Big Fish prize on Sunday with a 4.40lb largemouth, and won 1st place in the tournament with a 23.65 lbs captured to take home $2,232.50, total earnings of $2,982.50. Be sure to tune in on Thursday, October 9, at 6 p.m. to watch the weigh in on Tennessee Sportsman, a program hosted by Odell Braswell. The show will be repeated on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 6 p.m. (DISH, DIRECTV & Local Channel 22)
•1st place Champions Mike Miller & Brandon Wallen totaled 23.65 lbs earning $2,232.50.
•2nd place awarded to Perry Neatherly & Billy Joe Smith for their combined weight of 20.75lbs, for $1,762.50
•3rd place awarded to Curtis Parsons & Tim Jolley with 19.85 lbs for $1,410.00.
•Phillip McCowan & Anthony Bowman secured $1,175.00 for 4th place with their total tournament weight of 18.65 lbs.
•5th place went to Gary Farley & Randy Hunter for a total weight of 18.60 lbs and cash earnings of $1,057.50.
•6th place: Local Byrdstown natives Robert Reagan & Marty Shelley caught 16.75 lbs for $940.00.
•7th place: Byrdstown’s Mitch Robertson & Tim Reagan, caught 16.70 lbs and for $822.50
•8th place: JJ Wilson & Danny Connor caught 16.25 lbs earning $705.00
•9th place: Local Byrdstown fisherman JB King & Jerry Reagan earned $587.50 for their total tournament weight of 15.95lbs.
•10th place: Huel Boles & Bryan Boles earned $470.00 for their catch of 14.95 lbs.
•11th place: Randy Loftis & Billy Gardner earned $352.50 for 14.20lbs captured.
•12th place: Local Jamestown fisherman Mike Stowers and Johnie Stowers earned $235.00 for their total tournament weight of 13.30 lbs.
