Two arrested for drug possession

Two arrested for drug possession  The Pickett County Sheriff's Department conducted a drug investigation in the Barnes Ridge Community.

The investigation lead to the arrest of two Overton County residents. Mary Denton, 49, was charged with Possession of a Schedule II (oxycodone). David Smith, 38, was charged with Possession of a Schedule II (methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Pickett County Chief Deputy Steve Wilber, Sgt. Chico Conner and Deputy Wayne Clayborn conducted the investigation.
