Pickett School Board Oct. 7th meeting minutes

The Pickett County Board of Education met Tuesday, October 7th, at 7:00 p.m. at the office of the Director of Schools with the following members present: John Reagan, Chairman, Terrell Garner, Jerry Mitchell and Jimmy Storie.
Motion by Terrell Garner seconded by Jerry Mitchell to adopt the agenda and approve the minutes from the September 8, 2008 meeting. All ayes. Motion passed.
Motion by Jimmy Storie seconded by John Reagan to renew the maintenance contract with TSBA. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by John Reagan seconded by Jerry Mitchell to approve the School System School Compliance Report. All ayes. Motion approved.
Motion by Jerry Mitchell seconded by Jimmy Storie to approve TDS to be the Administrators of the 403B Annuities at no cost to the system. The IRS is requiring this to be in place by January 1, 2009. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Jerry Mitchell seconded by John Reagan to approve TSBA recommended Code of Ethics. First Reading. All ayes motion carried.
Motion by Jimmy Storie seconded by Terrell Garner to change the November meeting to the second Monday-November 10, 2008 with work session at 5:30 p.m. and meeting at 6:00 p.m. All ayes. Motion approved.
Motion by John Reagan seconded by Jimmy Storie to adjourn. All ayes. Motion passed.
