Local students attend math competition

Local students attend math competitionPickett County 6th, 7th, and 8th graders attended the Tenth Annual Tennessee Middle/Junior High School Mathematics Competition at TTU. There were a total of 266 students that attended the competition from the Upper Cumberland area.
Elizabeth Norris received 4th place in the 8th grade category. Jose Rodriguez placed 6th in the 7th grade category.
Students who attended were chosen based on their previous year's TCAP scores. The students were accompanied by math teachers Sarah Tompkins and Lisa Suiter. We are very proud of our students.
