Siblings united through “Live A Dream” contest

ubmitted
Bethany Pointe Health Campus of Anderson, IN sponsors a contest for their residents wishing to share their dream.
Resident Gladys Norris, born in Stearns, KY, expressed her dream of sharing her 97th birthday with her only living sibling, Jesse Martin, who also would be celebrating his 89th, now of Byrdstown. Gladys won the contest and was able to travel by way of a shiny new Ford, expenses paid to visit her baby brother here in Byrdstown.
Both Gladys and Jesse lived most of their life in Anderson, IN with Gladys retiring from General Motors and Jesse from Central Indiana Gas Co.
Jesse married the former Mary Sells of Byrdstown and they now reside off Highway 111 close to their two daughters and son-in-law.
They were able to visit, share great meals, and celebrate their birthdays with other relatives from Kentucky and Tennessee.
When asked about her reaction to the Trilogy Foundation giving her the opportunity to see her brother through the Live A Dream program, she said "I don't know how to say it, bit it was really wonderful!" The best part of the trip for her was just getting to see her brother since he no longer is able to travel.
