One killed in Koger Mountain Road accident

A single vehicle accident on Koger Mountain Road resulted in a fatality late Thursday, June 27th.
According to the accident report, a Chevrolet truck was traveling west when it crossed into the eastbound lane leaving roadway striking a large rock. The driver of the vehicle, William Holbert, 76, of Pall Mall was killed.
The last vehicle fatality in Pickett County was October 2012 on Cordell Hull Memorial Drive.
The accident was investigated by Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Neil Matthews.
