Happy to see the sun shining

Happy to see the sun shiningAfter a nasty, cool, wet Fourth of July holiday weekend, the sun is finally shining. Despite the fact that the Obey River Recreational swimming area is under water up to the concrete wall, many were taking advantage of the nice weather Tuesday, July 9th. Among them were Jim and Patty Pyzik of Byrdstown, who were soaking the sun watching as their grandchildren played and splashed in the water. Mr. Pyzik said that he recorded 8.5 inches of rain for a total of two days from his rain gauge.
Pictured above are siblings Peyton, 5, and Luke Pyzik, 6, of Albany, Ky. with family friend Kristin Foster of Chicago, IL.
