Gov. Haslam visits Fitzgerald Truck Parts & Sales

Governor Bill Haslam visited Fitzgerald Truck Parts and Sales Tuesday morning. He toured the facility and discussed how important the business is for Pickett County.

Among the discussions, it was brought to Governor Haslam’s attention about how there was much needed maintenance on Highway 111 and the future need of a high school to replace the 50-year-old buildings.

For over 20 years, family owned Fitzgerald Truck Parts and Sales has been operation. They expanded the business to Pickett County in 2011. They are able to customize Freightliner trucks with Glider Kits and provide sales and service for the trucks.

Currently there are about 75 employees, with the job positions helping the county's unemployment rate along with generating sales tax and revenue.
