Pickett Board of Education elects Reagan as Chairman

The Pickett Co. Board of Education met Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the office of the director of schools with the following members present: Chairman John Reagan, Terrell Garner and Jimmy Storie. Jerry Mitchell was absent.
Motion by Jimmy Storie seconded by Terrell Garner to adopt the agenda and approve the minutes from the Aug. 12, 2013 meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Jimmy Storie seconded by Terrell Garner to elect John Reagan chairman of the board for 2013-14. John Reagan passed. Jimmy Storie and Terrell Garner both ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by John Reagan seconded by Terrell Garner to elect Jimmy Storie as vice-chairman of board for 2013-14. John Reagan and Terrell Garner both ayes. Jimmy Storie passed. Motion carried.
Motion by John Reagan seconded by Jimmy Storie to approve the Food Service Charge Policy 2nd reading. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Terrell Garner seconded by John Reagan to approve the Nepotism Policy - 1.108 2nd reading. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Jimmy Storie seconded by Terrell Garner to approve the contract with Mechanical Resource Groups which allow Pickett County Schools to be eligible for future energy grants. All ayes. Motion carried.

Motion by Terrell Garner seconded by John Reagan to approve the policy Manual and Online Service with TSBA. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Jimmy Storie seconded by John Reagan to change the date of the October meeting from Oct. 14th to Oct. 7th. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Jimmy Storie seconded by John Reagan to adjourn. All ayes. Motion carried.
