Pickett Care & Rehab to host Hall of Fame induction ceremony

Pickett County Care and Rehab will host a Hall of Fame Café celebration to honor residents at the local nursing home.
The purpose of the Hall of Fame program is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments and experiences of the center’s residents. Employees, volunteers and community members are also honored for their contributions to the home and society as a whole.
This year’s honorees for Pickett Care and Rehab are:
•Glenn Parris: As a public servant, Glenn volunteered as the City Alderman for 10 years and spent an additional 5 as the City Recorder
•Jerry Stover: A dedicated nurse for 42 years and a stakeholder at Pickett Care for 24, Jerry is regarded a leader among his peers.
•Jean McIver Hall: Jean has served as a DON, a nurse consultant, and a state surveyor.
Pickett Care and Rehab is one of 87 locations operated by Louisville, Ky.-based Signature HealthCARE. Launched in 2003, the Hall of Fame event is hosted annually by each Signature home at different times throughout the year. This year, Signature has taken a different approach by having each center host its Hall of Fame ceremony on the same day, creating a synchronized, company-wide event.
“Our residents have given so much to their hometowns and our nation, and these contributions deserve to be celebrated,” said Signature President and CEO Joe Steier. “The Hall of Fame Café induction ceremonies are a small way for us to say ‘thanks.’ ”
Pickett Care and Rehab’s Hall of Fame celebration will be held Friday, Nov. 1, at 129 Hillcrest Dr., beginning at 6:00 p.m. For more information about the event, contact (931) 864-3162.
