Garretts celebrate 70th Anniversary

Bro. Walter Harold Garrett and Eldena Taylor Garrett were married January 4, 1944 at the Pickett County Courthouse.
The wedding ceremony was performed by Kato Sells and Eather Garrett. Walter Harold was 18 years old and Eldena was 17 years old.
On January 4, 2014 the couple celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary at the Pickett Care and Rehab Center in Byrdstown with several family members and friends attending.
Bro. Walter Harold is known throughout our community for his love and witnessing for Our Lord Jesus Christ and his kindness toward everyone he meets. You may also recognize him by his well-groomed white hair, big ear-to-ear smile and possibly seen their silver-blue Cadillac with several Bible verses telling us of the Lord Jesus Christ's Love for all mankind.
We Love You Bro. Walter Harold and Sister Eldena. Happy 70th Wedding Anniversary!
