Action taken at January 13th Commission meeting

The Pickett County Commissioners met in regular session on January 13, 2014. Present and presiding was the Honorable Lana Rossi, Chairman and Robert Lee, Clerk of the Court.
All commissioners were present.
The following is action taken at that meeting:
•Approved a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded by Lowell Winningham to approve the agenda, as amended. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Carried a motion by Eddie Holt and seconded by Kenny Tompkins to approve minutes from the December 16, 2013 County Court Meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Passed a motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Tony Beaty to approve December 2013 monthly reports for county general, debt services and solid waste funds for FY 2013/2014. All ayes. Motion carried.
•Approved a motion by Becky Matheny and seconded by Darrell Garrett to approve invoice for Pickett County Jail from Cannon. All ayes, except for Eddie Holt who voted nay. Motion carried.
•Other Business
A) Ashby Barnes to address the commission concerning Solid Waste.
B) Need to discuss a letter received in the mail on 1/2/2014 concerning county vehicles not marked and being driven home by employees.
•Carried motion by Colan Huddleston and seconded by Becky Matheny to adjourn until next regular county court meeting scheduled for February 10, 2014 at 6 p.m. in the community room of the Pickett County Library without roll call.
