Pickett Sheriff’s Department finds and disposes meth labOn Feb. 8, Pickett County Sheriff Dana E. Dowdy, Chief Deputy Steve Wilber, and Deputy James Hammock were conducting an ongoing investigation inside the Byrdstown City limits.
While searching properties located on North Main Street, Deputy James Hammock found a black duffel bag that contained a meth lab.
Meth Task Force Officers Elbert Conner and Kevin Conner were notified and they dispatched the State Meth Task Force truck to pick up and dispose of the meth lab. The investigation is still ongoing and charges are pending.
